President William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga are currently at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) to sign a coalition agreement between the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and Kenya Kwanza.
While reading out the areas of collaboration, ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna noted that the two leaders had agreed to fully implement the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report.
In the formal agreement informing the formation of the coalition, Sifuna noted that the leaders had agreed to foster inclusivity in all arms of government.
In the agreement titled ‘Memorandum of Understanding to Resolve the Social, Economic, and Political Challenges Facing Kenya 2025’, the former head of state and Raila agreed to address the cost of living and youth unemployment.
Further, they both committed to make devolution function.
The other part of the agreement was read by the UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar who announced that the two leaders had created to create sufficient employment for the young people and create a space for them to thrive.
Further, Hassan noted that they had agreed to uphold right of protests.
