Popular Kalenjin singer Vicky Brilliance has reunited with her husband, Silas Kiplangat, famously known as Baba Boys, barely two months after their highly publicised and bitter breakup.
Their unexpected reconciliation played out live on stage during the Kalenjin Beats Takeover concert in Nairobi.
Later, she took to her Instagram page to share a video of the two, captioning it, “Baba Boys I love you.”
Domestic violence
This public display of affection comes as a surprise, considering that in February 2025, Vicky had come out to accuse her husband of domestic abuse and walked away from their troubled marriage.
In an emotional social media post, the mother of two opened up about the pain she had been hiding for years. She described her marriage as hell, saying the problems began long before the public ever knew.
She said that Baba Boys would physically assault her, especially when drunk, even in front of fans. Vicky also revealed that she endured the suffering in silence to protect her children and career.
“The truth is, I have been in hell, and it didn’t start yesterday… Mtu akilewa ni kukupiga tu mbele ya fans,” she wrote.
The celebrated singer of hits like ‘Wababa’ and ‘Omisenin’ went further to disclose that she handed over her entire Ksh1.8 million prize money to her husband to build their mansion. However, things took a dark turn, and the relationship became toxic.
According to her post, after completing the house, Baba Boys was advised by someone to kick her out.
She also made a heartbreaking revelation about their four-year-old son, claiming that Kiplangat had once slapped the child.
“Imagine kupigwa mbele ya mtoto na panga… So traumatizing!” she lamented, describing the terrifying experience of being assaulted with a machete in front of their child.
