Tanzanian influencer and self-proclaimed billionaire Godlove Mwakibete, popularly known as Chief Godlove, has gifted fast-rising Kenyan singer Stevo Simple Boy wads of cash as a gesture of appreciation following a visit to his luxurious mansion in Mikocheni, Tanzania.
The two appeared to thoroughly enjoy their time together, and in a video shared on Stevo’s TikTok on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, Godlove is seen handing him bundle after bundle of cash, with Stevo left visibly stunned as the influencer continued to pull notes from a tightly sealed envelope.
According to Godlove, who openly expressed his admiration for Stevo’s content, the singer is now part of his inner circle—if not considered family altogether—as it meant a great deal to him that Stevo had made the effort to travel all the way from Kenya to visit him and hang out.
“And from today, you are part of my family—you came all the way from Kenya to Tanzania to visit a young boy like me. First, take these, Stevo Simple Boy,” Godlove said amid palpable excitement, continuing to rain the bundles of cash onto the stunned Kenyan singer.
Music sponsorship
While explaining why he was gifting Stevo such a hefty amount of money, Godlove clarified that he was sponsoring the production of three hit songs for the singer and that part of the money was specifically meant to cover the costs of their accompanying music videos.
He said he truly believes in Stevo’s talent and even promised that once Stevo had utilised the bundles and delivered on the three songs, he would top him up with even more money—insisting that he was genuinely committed to supporting him.
“Stevo Simple Boy, trouble-free and unique, you are welcome to Tanzania, my man. Just the other day I watched your motivational video from Kenya—Kenyans are truly watching you. Now you’ve reached me here in Tanzania, and when you meet Chief, just know you’ve met money and pretty girls. Kenyans say Kenyan money is heavier than Tanzanian money—but this is the biggest currency here in Tanzania. I’m giving you this for your expenses while you’re here. Take it. This is for you, and if you produce hit songs, I’ll add more. I will personally pay for three of your music videos. I’m just a young boy with a lot of money.”
Additionally, Godlove took a moment to praise himself, describing himself as a young man with immense wealth, and firmly stated that he would continue to support Stevo throughout his stay in Tanzania.
2 Mbili’s similar windfall
Stevo Simple Boy’s unexpected windfall and music sponsorship from Godlove have come barely two weeks after car reviewer and YouTuber 2 Mbili was similarly showered with generosity during a visit to Tanzania.
On Thursday, April 10, 2025, 2 Mbili spent time with the self-proclaimed billionaire at his luxurious residence, later taking to social media to express his deep gratitude for the warm welcome.
In a video posted the following day, Friday, April 11, 2025, the popular content creator showcased the US dollars gifted to him and offered heartfelt thanks to Chief Godlove, remarking that the experience had left him seriously considering relocating to Tanzania for good.
“Thank you so much Chief Godlove for this large amount of money… Now please talk to Mama Samia so I can get citizenship. I’ve been Kenyan for 32 years—it’s time for a change. Anyway, guys, head over to my channel and enjoy my first visit to the chief’s mansion,” he shared in his post, clearly overwhelmed by the encounter.
According to 2 Mbili, who described the influencer as deeply connected—particularly noting his close friendship with Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu—the warm reception he received left a lasting impact.
He suggested that Chief Godlove ought to use his influence to initiate talks with the president to facilitate his citizenship application, hinting that his time as a Kenyan might soon be up.
Beyond the money and luxury, 2 Mbili emphasised that the encounter had stirred something greater within him—political ambition—and declared that he is now contemplating vying for a Member of County Assembly seat in Kenya.
He admitted that he was still in disbelief that a social media sensation and millionaire like Chief Godlove had not only agreed to appear on his channel but had also opened the doors to his sprawling mansion in Tanzania for a full tour.
“Yesterday I met the Chief, and right now I don’t even know where I am—I feel like I’m floating. Honestly, I even feel like running for MCA because of Chief Godlove. If this is what life is like with him, then I’m in Tanzania every week. He’s even sold me the accent! Now I’m just left to choose a team—do I become a Yanga or Simba fan?”
