Kenyan singer Stevo Simple Boy, on Friday, April 25, 2025, continued with his Tanzanian tour, and during the occasion, he was fortunate to meet some of the country’s biggest artistes.
He was also hosted for interviews by some of the country’s most prominent YouTubers.
Among the latest YouTubers to interview him was PM Tanzania, who pressed him to clarify some comments he made back in 2024, where he stated that he was bigger than Bongo Flava icon Diamond Platnumz and that he would charge him no less than Ksh24M for a collaboration.
Responding to the question, Stevo insisted that he is indeed bigger than the WCB label boss and outlined the reasons why he feels this way and why he cannot stoop so low with a cheap fee should Diamond ever approach him for a collaboration.
“I am bigger than Diamond. Even if you look at the things I’ve done, Diamond has never done the same. That’s why I said I would charge him that amount,” Stevo shared.
Further, he gave the first reason why he feels he’s bigger than Diamond as the fact that he has been able to deliver content that has resonated with audiences across East Africa, whereas Diamond has not been able to achieve the same.
He also mentioned that his unique attire and sense of fashion are superior to Diamond’s.
Stevo, who during the interview was bare-chested, then listed the third reason as the fact that he has a seven-pack, while Diamond has only a six-pack, which left the interviewer laughing.
“If it’s about creating content that is accepted across all of East Africa, that’s the first reason. The second is fashion. The third is producing good music. The fourth is producing music that is respected by society as a whole. You see? The fifth is that I’m everywhere. We are not on the same level. You know, Diamond is still a child. He has a six-pack, but I have a seven-pack.”
Reasons for the Tanzania Tour
Stevo then clarified the main reason he had been in Tanzania for over a week, saying that he was there to run some business errands and to make plans so that he could return to Kenya with Zuchu, whom he claimed is the love of his life.
He insisted that he was fully aware that she is currently involved with Diamond, but he expressed his desire to marry her, stating that Diamond has taken far too long to clarify whether he intends to marry her.
“I came to Tanzania for business matters, but I also came to take your girl, Zuchu, and make her my fiancée. She deserves me, not Diamond. Diamond is here and there; he’s unclear. So when I take Zuchu, I’ll give her true love. True love means caring for her,” he added.
Stevo meets Godlove
During the first days of his tour, Stevo was fortunate enough to be hosted by Tanzanian influencer and self-proclaimed billionaire Godlove Mwakibete, better known as Chief Godlove, who even showered him with wads of cash as a token of appreciation after a visit to his lavish mansion in Mikocheni, Tanzania.
The two appeared to thoroughly enjoy their time together, and in a video shared on Stevo’s TikTok on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, Godlove was seen handing him bundle after bundle of cash, with Stevo left visibly stunned as the influencer continued to pull notes from a tightly sealed envelope.
According to Godlove, who openly expressed his admiration for Stevo’s content, the singer is now part of his inner circle—if not considered family altogether—as it meant a great deal to him that Stevo had made the effort to travel all the way from Kenya to visit him and hang out.
“And from today, you are part of my family—you came all the way from Kenya to Tanzania to visit a young boy like me. First, take these, Stevo Simple Boy,” Godlove said amid palpable excitement, continuing to rain the bundles of cash onto the stunned Kenyan singer.

Music sponsorship
While explaining why he was gifting Stevo such a hefty amount of money, Godlove clarified that he was sponsoring the production of three hit songs for the singer and that part of the money was specifically meant to cover the costs of their accompanying music videos.
He said he truly believes in Stevo’s talent and even promised that once Stevo had utilised the bundles and delivered on the three songs, he would top him up with even more money—insisting that he was genuinely committed to supporting him.
“Stevo Simple Boy, trouble-free and unique, you are welcome to Tanzania, my man. Just the other day I watched your motivational video from Kenya—Kenyans are truly watching you. Now you’ve reached me here in Tanzania, and when you meet Chief, just know you’ve met money and pretty girls. Kenyans say Kenyan money is heavier than Tanzanian money—but this is the biggest currency here in Tanzania. I’m giving you this for your expenses while you’re here. Take it. This is for you, and if you produce hit songs, I’ll add more. I will personally pay for three of your music videos. I’m just a young boy with a lot of money.”
Additionally, Godlove took a moment to praise himself, describing himself as a young man with immense wealth, and firmly stated that he would continue to support Stevo throughout his stay in Tanzania.
