The company announced that all Airtel Money services will be unavailable during the 12-hour upgrade window. This includes sending and receiving money, bank transfers, bill payments, and agent withdrawals.

Airtel said the upgrade is part of its efforts to improve user experience and introduce more innovative products. The company is enhancing its systems to offer faster, more secure, and reliable services in the future.

The telco had earlier informed customers about the planned upgrade through a notice issued on April 6, 2025.

Airtel apologised for the inconvenience caused by the downtime and assured customers that the move is aimed at improving their overall experience on the platform.

“During this time, all Airtel Money services will be unavailable. We understand that the downtime may cause temporary inconvenience, and we sincerely apologise for the disruption,” the statement read in part.
