CCTV: Girl, Jalerian Zadaa Marshall, killed by a young boy on North 40th and West Cherry Street in Washington Park

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that girl, Jalerian Zadaa Marshall, killed by a young boy on North 40th and West Cherry Street in Washington Park.

Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened on Tuesday near Washington Park. Family members said the victim is 17-year-old Jalerian McDade – and they are heartbroken. READ MORE HERE

Neighbors told FOX6 News off camera that the sounds of gunshots and screaming woke them up. Seconds after the shots, video showed people run back and forth from a white vehicle parked on the street.

Once on the scene, officers focused on the car, while others canvassed the block for evidence. Police said they know who they are looking for, and family members also told FOX6 News off-camera they know who the shooter is. FOX6 is not able to identify the suspect until charges are filed.

“It’s a time to pause and reflect and think about what it is that we’re doing,” Johnson said.

“Why do our children have access to firearms? Understand the responsibility for all of us in regards to ensuring that those type of weapons of danger are not accessible to our young ones,” Norman said.
