According to a post on X by DCI, the meeting was attended by all heads of directorates at DCI headquarters, the regional and formation heads, and presented their plans and strategies based on security threat analysis specific to their respective areas of jurisdiction.

“The overall objective is to ensure the DCI discharges its investigative mandate in a professional and consistent manner,” the DCI’s statement read.

Amin, meanwhile, asked his officers to be professional as they discharge their duties and, at the same time, avoid corruption activities.

“Always be extremely diligent when carrying out your responsibilities, and do not allow anyone to influence you while you are focused on investigating crime. Avoid all forms of corruption and encourage the officers under your supervision to maintain integrity in all their pursuits,” Amin stated.

The DCI boss not only encouraged professionalism but also told the officers to embrace a high level of discipline and cultivate positive community relations to meet the necessary standards in the fight against crime.

He also reiterated the DCI’s commitment to making every effort within its investigative mandate and in accordance with the law to ensure the safety and security of Kenya.
