Embakasi East Member of Parliament (MP) Babu Owino was on Saturday, April 26, 2025, left elated after spending time with his constituents in Utawala Ward.
In a video shared on his official social media pages, Babu is seen happily dancing with constituents shortly after they welcomed him with ‘governor’ chants.
After the happy moments of dancing, Babu disbursed bursary cheques to a section of the students scheduled for vocational training and universities.
Speaking after the fruitful event, Babu hailed the initiative underscoring the importance of education, which he says is at the centre of the three pillars of the country’s economy.
While emphasizing the importance of education, the lawmaker stressed that leaders must invest in education to grow the nation as it safeguards the future of the country.
“Education is at the centre of the Three pillars of the economy; the service industry, agriculture and manufacturing and construction. If we must grow as a Nation then we must invest in Education. We are investing in the future of this country,” he said.
The event comes a day after he distributed bursary cheques in Tassia, Embakasi East.
At the event, Babu reiterated his commitment to educating students in his region, emphasizing that he will ensure every child accesses quality education without discrimination.
“Education of our children is my priority and I will deliver without discrimination.Every Child in Embakasi has a right to access quality Education,” he stated.
