Tanzanian influencer and self-proclaimed billionaire Godlove Mwakibete, popularly known as Chief Godlove, has vehemently refuted claims that he is facilitating people to join the infamous Illuminati sect.

In an Instagram post on Friday, April 18, 2025, Godlove swiftly dismissed the claims, expressing his firm stance that he does not involve himself with the Illuminati or Freemasonry, whichever it may be, and further issued a warning to those spreading such rumours.

ā€œWarning, mimi siunganishi mtu Freemason wala Illuminati, na kwanza sio mmoja,ā€ he posted.

Fraudulent activity

Godlove went on to reveal that several fake accounts had been created in his name, with individuals impersonating him online and deceiving people by offering them lucrative connections to the controversial sects.

He disclosed that one of these fraudulent accounts even bore a blue verification tick, and he cautioned his followers to be vigilant, making it clear that he does not manage any accounts except the official one, which bears his genuine tag.

ā€œKatika hizo mambo, kuna account fake imeweka bluetick. Insta ni ya kitapeli, sio yangu. Kueni makini,ā€ he shared.

No responsibility for duped fans

On the same note, Godlove informed his fans that, should they fall victim to these fake accounts, they would be solely responsible for their actions.

He made it clear that he would no longer bear the blame, as he had already issued the advisory.

He also revealed that fraudsters had been calling his followers from fake numbers, claiming to be him.

To avoid further deception, he listed his three primary Tanzanian contacts, urging anyone wishing to reach him or engage in business with him to use these verified numbers.

ā€œMimi nina namba tatu, na kunipata na zote zimesajiliwa kwa jina langu halisi, Godlove Mwakibete. Ukitapeliwa, utakua fala sana. Zingatia jina, usiwe boya. Malipo ni laki 50,ā€ he cautioned.

Rituals

Rumours regarding Godloveā€™s involvement in occult rituals first surfaced in December 2024, following the untimely death of his adopted son.

Many of his followers speculated on social media, bombarding his posts with comments suggesting that he may have sacrificed his son to maintain his wealth.

However, Godlove strongly denied these claims, explaining that he was still in disbelief over the loss of his son and struggling to come to terms with his passing.

He emphasised that the tragedy had occurred so swiftly that he could hardly process it.

ā€œI still cannot believe it. Iā€™m shocked by how people have turned into animals. These stories about human beings becoming animals to take the life of an innocent child, with no quarrel or conflict with anyoneā€”may such a thing never happen to you. Since yesterday, Iā€™ve been sitting here receiving different reports online, trying to reach your mother, but I canā€™t get through, and when I send a message, itā€™s not being read. Iā€™m on my way to see you, my son. You loved me; we loved each other; you chose me to be your father. Itā€™s been a year now since I last saw you,ā€ he shared back then.
