KNH flags fake job advert

Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) has issued a notice flagging a fake job advertisement and cautioning members of the public against making applications.

In a statement shared via their official X handle, the national hospital dismissed the job vacancies notice, terming it as a false advert designed to mislead job seekers in an attempt to collect personal information or demand payment for processing fees.

“Beware of this fake job advertisement being shared on social media, falsely claiming to offer employment at Kenyatta National Hospital. This fake job post is designed to mislead job seekers and may attempt to collect personal information or demand payment for processing fees,” the statement reads in parts.

The hospital further called on Kenyans to remain vigilant and verify job openings through their official website to avoid falling for the fake adverts

“KNH never asks for payment at any stage of recruitment. Always verify job openings through our official website (http://knh.or.ke). Stay vigilant and share this message to protect others from fraud! #KNHInakujali,” their statement added.

The flagged poster was advertising 14 positions, with applicants being urged to apply for only one position.

The positions included registered nurses (74), medical assistant nursing assistants (126), health record with IT officer (46), office secretary (64), biomedical technicians (28), security guardsss (34), store keepers (54), cleaners (50), lab techniciansss (43), orthopaedic trauma technologistststs (38), emergency medical technologists (90), public health officers (33), theatre technicians/theatre nursesss (18) and community health and development officers (37).

The advert had also directed applicants to submit their application to an email provided not later than Sunday, April 20, 2025.

“Interested Kenyans should send their application, consisting of a well-detailed CV, to [email protected] not later than 20th April 2025.

“Apply once and for a single position only. Shortlisting will be done on a rolling basis, and communication will be made through email addresses. Check your email addresses regularly,” the fake poster added.
