The person of interest, who was the driver of the vehicle, had only students as passengers at the time of the arrest. Investigators believe he may have hoped that ferrying students would help him avoid suspicion.

He is currently being held at Kamagambo Police Station, where he is undergoing processing ahead of his court appearance.

“At the time of his arrest, the driver was carrying only students, perhaps banking on the assumption that such company would shield him from suspicion. However, his clever ruse was no match for the watchful eyes of members of the public. He is currently in custody at Kamagambo Police Station, undergoing processing pending his court appearance,” the authorities said.
