One person was taken to a hospital following a Tuesday afternoon crash on Route 422 near the East Jefferson Street exit in Summit Township. READ MORE HERE

A witness, Mandy Libecco, said she saw the crash take place and helped the injured person. She said A tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle crashed just before 2 pm today.

The Herman, East Butler and Butler Township volunteer fire departments, East Butler Ambulance Service, county hazardous materials team and Butler Township police also responded to the crash.

Information reads: “ATTN: 422 ACCIDENT NAME RELEASED:
Jason Curry was the individual driving on the wrong side of the road tonight on 422. Jason’s family asks for your prayers at this time.
Curry is in and out of consciousness, has multiple injuries as one can imagine.
I met Jason when I had my Main Street gathering last year and he was a very nice guy.

“Jason is going to live. But quite frankly he is not in the best condition. He will need a hip replaced ribs are shattered. It’s going to be a long recoverery.
Jason currently takes care of his father who has stage four cancer I’m told.
