The National Police Service (NPS) has named Kiambu police commander Michael Nyaga Muchiri as the new NPS Spokesperson.
Sources privy to the major reshuffle that has affected high-ranking police bosses confirmed to Viral Tea on Thursday, January 16. Nyaga replaces Dr Resila Atieno Onyango who has served in the role for slightly more than two years.
Dr Resila was however moved to the Diplomatic Police Unit and named the Commandant.Â
In another high-profile change, Nairobi Regional Police boss Adamson Bungei has been recalled back to the police headquarters and named the Director of Operations.
Bungei will be, therefore, replaced by Coast Regional Police Commander George Sedah as Nairobi boss. Â
