TikToker and influencer Sheryl Gabriella has spoken out following online rumours linking her to the recent breakup between comedian David Oyando alias Mulamwah and his fiancée and baby mama, Ruth K.

In a video shared on her Instagram stories on Monday, April 14, Sheryl denied being involved with Mulamwah or playing any role in the couple’s split.

“Me seeing people abusing me for stealing Mulamwah when my real man is a 30+-year-old Tycoon who doesn’t show his face on social media and has 1k followers,” she stated.

Mulamwah and Sheryl have been frequently seen together lately, collaborating on content and making joint appearances at public events.

The timing of her statement comes just days after Mulamwah confirmed his separation from Ruth K through an announcement posted on his social media pages.

“Yes, it’s true we have decided to part ways with R.K. It was nice while it lasted,” he wrote on April 10, 2025, on his Instagram days after online sleuths observed that the two no longer followed each other.

The statement caught many by surprise, especially because the two had only recently gotten engaged. On February 17, Ruth K posted a video flaunting her sparkling engagement ring, surrounded by roses, writing, “I said yes.”

Mulamwah also shared his excitement at the time, posting a photo of the ring with the caption, “cute fingers like hers deserve rings,” accompanied by heart and kiss emojis.

Their love story has been anything but ordinary. In a past update, the ex-lovers revealed that it all began in Kitale, at a local hardware shop where Ruth worked. Mulamwah happened to be shopping for supplies when the two met.

At first, they publicly downplayed their relationship, referring to each other as “besties.”

In October 2023, Mulamwah visited Ruth’s family in what looked like a traditional wedding ceremony. Even after that, they continued to use the term “bestie” to describe their relationship.

The two welcomed their son, Oyando Jr., in February 2024.

However, this is not the first time Mulamwah has been in the middle of a high-profile breakup. In 2021, he ended things with fellow content creator Carol Sonnie, whose real name is Caroline Muthoni. The two shared a daughter, Keilah Oyando, born in September 2021. Mulamwah later revealed that the relationship had ended while Carol was just three months pregnant, but he chose to stay silent until after the baby’s birth.

Their split was anything but quiet. The former couple had a dramatic public fallout filled with child support arguments and harsh accusations on social media, which kept them in the spotlight for months.
